This morning Dani Pedrosa chipped away 5 points from Jorge Lorenzo's lead in the MotoGP championship. This leaves Lorenzo with a 28 point advantage over Pedrosa with 3 races remaining. Realistically it will take a mechanical or a 'really bad day' for Pedrosa to overhaul Lorenzo. Lorenzo will know this and will no doubt be playing a more conservative race strategy in the final few races, being happier to finish second than try and push too hard and crash out. This should still make for a great climax to the championship as the pressure on Lorenzo, knowing that one slip up could cost him the title, will be immense. Our prediction nearly a couple of month's ago, that Pedrosa will take the title, could still turn out to be a reality, although it is definitely an outside chance now.
