A recent motorcycling news article that caught our eye was one outlining how a speeding biker was nabbed by the police. Nothing new there really you might think, but rather than being caught in the act on the road this biker was arrested after police read his boasting on an internet forum.

A bike owned by Andrew Kelly from Leeds was clocked at 122mph in Selby, North Yorkshire last year. Kelly who is an MOT tester said that it must have been a test rider interested in buying the bike who committed the crime. As the authorities couldn't prove otherwise they dropped their attempts to penalise him. After Kelly boasted about this escape on a forum called pepipoo.com police received an anonymous tip off and matched the description in the post to Kelly.

Rather than receiving a fine and points on his license for the original infringement of speeding Kelly has been sentenced to 8 months in prison for perverting the course of justice. If he's lucky he'll be out in 8 weeks though much like Chris Huhne and his ex-wife Vicky Pryce!
